A 'Picasso' of record at last within reach of all
London's Tate Modern presents "Nude, green leaves and bust ', the most expensive painting in history not seen in public since 1961

Bare, green leaves and bust (1932), English painter Pablo Picasso , was sold at auction last May at Christie's gallery in New York 81 million euros . From today you can see in an exhibition at the Tate Modern in London .
The work, a portrait of one of his lovers, the young Marie-Therese Walter, on a large canvas (160x130 cm) has been provided by its anonymous owner, and you can see in the new gallery devoted to painter Section Poetry and Dreams British gallery. Table Picasso represented himself in profile, like a bust that watches his beloved from a pedestal.
"This is an outstanding painting by Picasso and I am delighted that, thanks to the generosity of the lender, we can expose to the British public," stated the director of the Tate, Nicholas Serota, the British media reports Efe from London.
Before being sold in May 2010, the work was for nearly ten decades in the private collection of Sidney and Frances Brody, Los Angeles (USA). Obtained the painting in 1951 of Paul Rosenberg Library, which bought the painting in 1936 to Picasso. Had been exposed only once, in 1961, to commemorate the 80th birthday of the artist.
